Quebec Big Bear Hunt Adventures has Exclusive access to over 5 thousands of kilometers of prime bear country, located in exclusive, restricted and controlled Provincial Wildlife Reserves in the eastern Canadian province of Quebec. All of our areas are via easy access paved roads within a 2-4 hour drive from Montreal.

Black Bear Season begins in mid-May and runs through June, with the rut beginning in the first week of June. We offer two base camps, one guided and one self-guided.

Where We Black Bear Hunt in Quebec

Mastigouche Wildlife Reserve: Located less than 2 hours from the Montreal International Airport. 36 hunters accepted in self guided black bear hunting camp.

Mastigouche is bordered by the Maurice National Park, made of up hundreds of miles of untouched wilderness area where no hunting is allowed.

LaVerendrye Wildlife Reserve: Located less than 4 hours from the Montreal International Airport. 24 hunters accepted in Full Guided Camp. 2 camps 6 rooms available, 2 person rooms. (This is a new location) 24 hunters accepted for the whole season. Few trophy hunt’s are also available at this new location.

In 2017, we' ll access + - 25% of the whole area of LaVerendrye Wildlife Reserve that is covering 13,000 sq km. First Nation are restricting the harvesting of fur animals, we have exclusive access in area that are bordering this huge conservation fur animal zone.

The harvesting of bears will be allowed to help mooses population that is a big food source for Natives than are still leaving in LaVerendrye in ancestral ways.

Our DNR estimates that bear densities within these areas are as high as 5 bears per 10 square miles, but after hunting Mastigouche areas for years, we estimate they're even higher.

Our American Plan include : Lodge in comfortable log cabin, with electricity, hot shower, indoor toilet, meal prepared & served by a cook, field transportation with new rental 4 doors truck, scouting, tracking & trophy care, baiting prior and during hunt, stand or blinds installation. Also dog tracking available to search wounded animals. You just need to shoot.
